ST FLOUR (France): Lance Armstrong left French riders to their Bastille Day celebrations in the Tour de France yesterday and Richard Virenque duly won the 10th stage while Thomas Voeckler retained the yellow jersey.
Bidding for a record sixth Tour crown, Armstrong had said he would ride conservatively in the longest stage this year, a gruelling 237-km test over the hills of central France.
