TOKYO: Japan coach Zico will have just three forwards for the Asian Cup which kicks off on Saturday with the defending champions’ squad hit by a number of injuries, the Japan FA (JFA) said yesterday.
Striker Atsushi Yanagisawa became the latest big absentee after he chose to miss the tournament so that he could join his new Italian Serie A club Messina in pre-season training.
