KUANTAN: Hosts Malaysia qualified for the semi-finals of the Asian Schools Under-15 football tournament despite losing 0-1 to Sri Lanka in their final Group A match at the MPK 1B field here yesterday.
R. M. Sachinta Maduranga scored the solitary goal in the 66th minute but the win was not enough for Sri Lanka, who were beaten 0-1 by China on Friday, to pip Malaysia to a last four berth.
