Scud: No apologies for swearing at umpire

AUSTRALIAN Mark Philippoussis refused to apologise for swearing at the umpire during his Wimbledon defeat by Tim Henman on Monday but said he was sorry if he had offended any younger television viewers.

Last year's finalist swore at Spanish umpire Enric Molina over a line call at the end of the third set and his comments were broadcast on BBC television who were showing the match live. The BBC issued an on-air apology.
