MILAN: Alberto Zaccheroni resigned yesterday as coach of Inter Milan, hours before the club's board of directors was expected to name Roberto Mancini as his successor.
Zaccheroni had been expected to leave the team. He had replaced Argentine Hector Cuper during the last season, leading the Milan team to a fourth place in Serie A, well below the expectations of team owner Massimo Moratti.
