LONDON: Former England midfielder Trevor Brooking was rewarded in the Queen's birthday honours yesterday along with some of the country's leading sports figures, businessmen and public servants.
Brooking, who spent his entire playing career with London club West Ham and was appointed director of football development for the Football Association (FA) in January, received a knighthood.
