NEW YORK: Michelle Wie, a 14-year-old golf prodigy who dreams of being the first woman to play at the Masters, will take a run at her dream by playing in the United States Amateur Public Links Championship.
Wie was granted a rare special exemption into next month's US Women's Open by the US Golf Association, which also sanctions the Public Links, an event whose champion traditionally receives an invitation to the next year's Masters.
