COLLEGE student Sachdev Singh saved the blushes for hosts Negri Sembilan at the Rakan Sukan Centre in Port Dickson when he landed the elusive gold medal for the state on the final day of the taekwondo competition yesterday.
It was a huge sigh of relief for the Negri camp, who were down on their luck after their best medal prospect, Tan Soon Keat, surprisingly crashed out in the preliminary round of the boys' featherweight (62-67kg) competition on Tuesday.
