CRAIOVA (Romania): Former Romania midfielder Gheorghe Popescu is donating the benefits of his farewell international match worth 250,000 euros (US$300,700) to a struggling children's hospital in his hometown.
“I wanted to organise a match between a world selection (of veterans and current players) and a Romanian national team in order to endow a Craiova hospital,” Popescu told reporters.
