KUALA LUMPUR: Incensed football officials expelled Kuwait’s Al Qadisiya from the Asian Champions League yesterday and banned them from all Asian Football Confederation (AFC) competitions for three years for triggering an on-field riot during a game last month.
The AFC also fined the Gulf state’s football association US$20,000 and said they would recommend to FIFA that all Al Qadisiya officials and players be suspended from international competitions for one year for their role in the brawl.
