Sin Mei out to make amends in Bangkok

KUALA LUMPUR: Long and triple jumper Ngew Sin Mei wants to make up for her failure in the Vietnam SEA Games last year by doing well in the Thailand Open athletics championships at the Thammasat University from April 27-30.

The 21-year-old KL lass, who holds the national record of 13.30m in the women's triple jump event, was expected to bag the gold medal in the Vietnam Games but only managed a bronze with a jump of 13.29m. However, she was later promoted to the silver when the Vietnamese silver medallist was disqualified for doping.
