Silver medal a major boost to Josiah’s Olympic hopes


PETALING JAYA: Cyclist Josiah Ng took a big step towards qualifying for the Athens Olympics when he bagged a silver in the keirin event in the third leg of the Track World Cup in Manchester on Friday. 

In the medal round final held at Manchester Velodrome on Friday evening, Josiah finished ahead of France's Olympic champion Florian Rousseau and was only beaten to the gold by three-times world champion Shane Kelly of Australia, who had a winning time of 10.724.
