KUALA LUMPUR: Swimmer Daniel Bego did not give his best in the South-East Asia inter-club age-group championship but still managed to break a meet record in the boys' Under-14 event on the opening day at the Kuala Lumpur Swimming Complex in Cheras here yesterday.
The Miri-lad, who represented Ikan Bilis Club clocked 55:30 in the 100m freestyle, erasing the old mark of 55:54 set by Su Jhi Rong of Singapore at the same venue two years ago.
