NEW DELHI: Cricket-mad India rejoiced after its cricket team registered a historic maiden Test win on Pakistan soil yesterday.
Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee led the country in congratulating the team with fans bursting firecrackers in many cities after India won the opening game of the three-Test series in Multan by an innings and 52 runs.
