Willstrop stuns Lincou in London

LONDON: England's James Willstrop shocked Frenchman Thierry Lincou 4-2, 9-7, 9-5, 5-9, 9-4, 9-10, 9-2 in the best of seven games here yesterday to win the Canary Wharf Invitational Squash Classic. 

Willstrop, a former world junior champion and seeded seventh in the competition, defeated the second seeded Lincou in a match that lasted 87 minutes. 

It was another upset in the third and fourth placing playoff match when another English player, third seed Peter Nicol, defeated top seed John White of Scotland 9-6, 4-9, 9-10, 10-9, 10-8 in 59 minutes.
