TOKYO: Striker Yoshito Okubo scored twice to help Japan beat the United Arab Emirates 3-0 on Thursday in the Asian final qualifying round to secure a berth in the Athens Olympics.
Japan finished top of the four-team Group B with four wins, one draw and one defeat for 13 points, ahead of Bahrain with 11 points, the Emirates with seven points and Lebanon on two.
