Eight dropped over drinking incident


TOKYO: Eight players from Japan’s national squad who took part in a drinking session during a training camp last month have been dropped from the team for a March 31 World Cup qualifier in Singapore. 

Japan’s Brazilian-born coach Zico announced his team yesterday and the eight players who allegedly sexually harassed female staff in a bar on Feb 9 while drinking were dropped from the team.
