SYDNEY: Australia’s football sex scandal plumbed new depths yesterday when police said they were investigating allegations that four rugby league players gang raped a mentally disabled teenager.
Queensland state police revealed the investigation after the mother of the 18-year-old woman went on television Wednesday night to allege that four players from the coastal city of Townsville had raped her daughter last month.
