KUALA LUMPUR: KTM Bhd will introduce a special train service, especially at the Nilai station, for the Malaysian F1 Grand Prix, which will be held at the circuit in Sepang from Friday to Sunday.
The Nilai station is the transit point for KTM Komuter passengers heading to the track to watch the race.
A statement from the KTM Bhd's Corporate Communications Department yesterday said that the services schedule for Sunday will be the same as that for Saturday, services departing every 15 minutes between 5.30am and 10am and every 20 minutes thereafter.
KTM Bhd, who had been accepted as representatives of the Public Transport Services Committee for the organisers, the Sepang International Circuit, will tie up with Sepang Omnibus Sdn Bhd and Airport Coach Sdn Bhd, the two transport companies servicing the Nilai station, to introduce a special ticket package for the race.
The return package, which includes Komuter and bus services, are for the Rawang, Sungai Buloh, Kepong, Putra, Bank Negara, Kuala Lumpur, KL Sentral, Bandar Tasik Selatan, Serdang, Kajang, UKM, Subang Jaya, Shah Alam and Klang sectors.
The ticket packages can be bought at the respective stations from today.
