BIRMINGHAM: China's Lin Dan won the All-England badminton title for the first time, beating 1999 champion Peter Gade Christensen of Denmark 9-15 15-5 15-8 in a top-class final at the National Indoor Arena here yesterday.
The 20-year-old top seed and world number one struggled to find a rhythm early on but powered through the second game and then led 14-3 in the decider as Gade Christensen battled to keep pace.
