HAMBURG: Brazilian forward Ailton’s plans to switch nationalities and play for Qatar may be shot down by FIFA, the president of Germany’s Football Federation said on Friday.
Gerhard Mayer-Vorfelder said he met with Urs Linsi, general secretary of football’s world governing body, and they agreed that switching passports to play for another country needed to be stopped.
