SYDNEY: England’s Laura Davies and Denmark’s Christina Kuld fired four-under 68s yesterday to share a one-shot lead after the first round of the Australian Women’s Open at Concord Golf Club.
Mianne Bagger made history by becoming the first transsexual to play in a professional women’s tournament, opening with a 12-over 84. It would require an amazing turnaround in today’s second round for Bagger to have any chance of qualifying for the weekend.
