LONDON: A maximum of six substitutes will be allowed in international friendly matches from next season, football's rule-making International Board said yesterday.
The new limit is a compromise as FIFA president Sepp Blatter wanted a maximum of five to be allowed and the English Football Association, among others, wanted no limits at all.
