LISBON: Germany will prevent some 4,500 reputed football hooligans from travelling to the European championships in Portugal this summer, the tournament's top security organiser said on Monday.
Portugal's Junior Interior Minister Nuno Magalhaes, who is heading tournament security, told reporters the German government had agreed to the move last week during a visit by Portuguese officials.
