ALOR STAR: The Kedah FA are reviewing the increase in prices of tickets for the Super League matches at the Darulaman Stadium following the poor turnout for the teams opening match against Selangor Public Bank last Saturday.
Ticket prices were increased by RM2 for the match RM17 (grandstand), RM12 (covered stands) and RM7 (terrace).
The match drew 16,000 paying fans. Last season, Kedahs home matches drew between 20,000 and 25,000 supporters.
The FA vice-president Datuk Chong Itt Chew said that they may reduce the ticket prices for the next home match against Sarawak on March 6.
It was the first competitive match of the year but the stadium was less than two-thirds full. The increase in ticket prices could be the reason for fans staying away. We have taken the cue and will consider reducing the prices, at least for the terrace seats, said Itt Chew.
