KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's Nicol David gave a gutsy display but it was not enough to prevent top seed Vanessa Atkinson of Holland from bagging the women's title in the Kuala Lumpur Open squash championships at the National Squash Centre in Bukit Jalil here yesterday.
Atkinson took 28 minutes to beat Nicol 9-0, 9-7, 1-9, 9-2 in the final. It was her sixth title on the women's professional squash circuit (WISPA).
