KUALA LUMPUR: Top Malaysian women squash player Nicol David survived some close calls against unseeded Welsh player Tegwen Malik before booking her place in the final of the Kuala Lumpur Open at the National Squash Centre in Bukit Jalil yesterday.
Nicol, the second seed, was forced to dig deep into her reserves before overcoming Malik 8-10, 10-8, 7-9, 9-7, 9-5 in 62 minutes to stay on track for her third Kuala Lumpur Open crown.
