Shooters aim for Olympic qualification, not medals in Asian meet

PETALING JAYA: No Malaysian has won a medal in the Asian Shooting Championships. And it is unlikely that they will get one in the 10th edition of the championships, which begin today at the Subang Range.

The standard of the national shooters is still not good enough to get among the medals. The meet is the last qualifying event for the Olympics and the national shooters' hopes are to win tickets to Athens.
