PETALING JAYA: It was a friendly match between the national team and Sabah but it descended into a heated controversy when FA of Malaysia's (FAM) technical director, German Karl Heinz Weigang, took it upon himself to stop the tie at the at the MPPJ Stadium here last night.
The newly appointed technical director stormed onto the track and waved for referee C. Ravichandran to call off the game in the 69th minute because of the heavy rain.
