JAKARTA: An Indonesian boxer has died from injuries suffered in a fight last week when he was knocked out by a Thai fighter, officials said yesterday.
Antonius Moses Seram was the latest Indonesian to die in the ring, a trend that prompted the World Boxing Commission in December 2001 to impose a six-month ban on Indonesian boxers from taking part in WBC-sanctioned bouts outside the country after five fighters died in 18 months.
