NEW YORK: A former American boxer said he was offered US$5,000 to lose a fight by officials from Top Rank, the promotion company which is run by Bob Arum and being probed by the FBI, the New York Daily News reported on Monday.
The 34-year-old Mitchell Rose said he was visited at his home by two Top Rank representatives a few weeks prior to his December 1995 fight with fellow American Eric Butterbean Esch.
