LISBON: Real Madrid's Portuguese international midfielder Luis Figo has fired his long-time agent, Jose Veiga, who helped orchestrate his controversial move from bitter rivals Barcelona in the summer of 2000.
“There has always been great respect between us but lately some things have failed in our relationship and I felt it was time to put an end to this cooperation of 10 years,” the player said.
