LONDON: Herbert Chapman, who died 70 years ago this month, has been named the greatest British manager of all time by The Times newspaper.
Judged on 10 criteria including honours won, influence on the game, tactical astuteness and building up a club, Chapman finished ahead of Jock Stein of Celtic with Manchester United’s Matt Busby third.
