PARIS: Britain's Paula Radcliffe has been officially recognised as world record holder in three distances after athletics' governing body, the IAAF, announced on Thursday they will now recognise road running and race walking performances.
As a result of the International Association of Athletic Federations' decision Radcliffe can claim to hold world records at 10 kilometres, 20km and the marathon and Polands Robert Korzeniowski becomes the inaugural world record holder for the mens 50km race walk.
