PARIS: The Dakar Rally, an 11,000km race in cars, motorbikes and trucks through Europe and West Africa, has reverted to a more classic route for its 2004 edition.
The vehicles will begin their 17-stage adventure in Clermont Ferrand, France today before going through Spain, Morocco, Mauritania, Mali, Burkina Faso and finishing in Dakar, Senegal on Jan 18.
