KUALA LUMPUR: The chase to win Malaysia's first-ever gold medal in the Olympics takes priority next year and the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) are prepared to hold back the country’s top players from the Thomas Cup Finals.
The Thomas Cup Finals will be in Jakarta from May 7-16 and the Olympics in Athens are scheduled for Aug 14-21. And there are concerns that some of the players may find it hard to peak for two major competitions.
