ROME: Italian league leaders AS Roma have fully entered into the festive spirit by sending each Serie A referee a Christmas hamper comprising six bottles of Krug champagne and some top quality ham.
This is not the first time AS Roma president Franco Sensi has acted with such benevolence – five years ago he gave the boys in black silver Rolex watches – with gold versions to the two top Italian officials.
