WELLINGTON: Dumped All Blacks coach John Mitchell has called on the New Zealand Rugby Union to clear his name, saying his career has been damaged by his sacking and “vile rumours'' concerning his private life.
Mitchell, who was axed on Friday after the All Blacks failed to progress beyond the semi-finals of the World Cup, is set to quit New Zealand rugby to continue his career in England or France.
