Spurs ready for backlash from United


LONDON: Tottenham boss David Pleat believes the controversy over Rio Ferdinand's eight-month ban for skipping a drugs test will inspire champions Manchester United to come out firing on all cylinders when the two sides clash today. 

“I very much doubt Rio's case takes the focus off their preparations,” said caretaker-manager Pleat ahead of the match at White Hart Lane.
