Sri Lanka take the initiative against England


KANDY (Sri Lanka): Chaminda Vaas and Muttiah Muralitharan bagged four wickets apiece to help Sri Lanka seize the initiative in the second cricket Test against England here yesterday. 

Off-spinner Muralitharan finished with 4-60 and left-arm fast bowler Vaas 4-77 as England were bowled out for 294 in reply to Sri Lanka's first-innings total of 382 on a tepid third day.
