HONG KONG: National number one Nicol David's impressive run in the World Women's Open came to an end when she lost tamely in the semi-final to fourth seed Cassie Jackman of England 7-9, 4-9, 3-9 in 30 minutes.
Despite her rather tame exit, Nicol was the biggest surprise in the competition. She knocked out three seeded players to become the first Asian to qualify for the semi-finals in the 24 year history of the competition.
