HONG KONG: National number one Nicol David caused a major upset in the World Women's Open when she knocked out second seed Natalie Grainger of the United States to qualify for the quarter-finals here yesterday.
The unseeded Nicol defeated Grainger 4-9, 9-3, 9-5, 9-7 in a match that lasted 55 minutes.
