HANOI: The tears flowed freely for Mon Redee Sut Txi at the National Sports Training Centre here yesterday. The archer came agonisingly close to winning Malaysia's first gold medal only to see Indonesia's Rina Dewi beat her by three points in a nail-biting individual final.
To add to the misery, Malaysia also lost a chance to win their first bronze medal. Fairuz Hanizah Che Ibrahim lost 101-103 in a third place playoff to another Indonesian, G. Rusena.
