Snooker breaks tradition by sending fresh faces

THE Malaysian Snooker and Billiards Federation (MSBF) will have no regrets sending an under strength pool of players, including two schoolboys, to the SEA Games in Vietnam next month.

Team manager Melvin Chia See Oon said that they had to break tradition and leave out several veterans, including former Asian champion Sam Chong, who have bagged a total of nine gold medals from six consecutive SEA Games appearances from 1991.
