MONTREAL: Next year's Canadian Grand Prix has been saved after the Canadian and regional Quebec government stepped in to support it, local press reported here yesterday.
The race at the Gilles Villeneuve circuit had figured on next season's calendar but only with a proviso that cash was found to make up the lost revenue suffered by teams arising from a local ban on tobacco advertising.
