Defending champs Selangor stay in the hunt for place in semi-finals

PETALING JAYA: Defending champions Selangor kept their semi-finals hopes alive in the Bardhan Cup football tournament when they whipped Negri Sembilan 4-0 in a Group C match at the MPPJ Stadium in Kelana Jaya on Saturday.

But Police hold the advantage in the four-team group after they had defeated Selangor 3-0 in the opening game on Nov 8. The cops, with a game in hand, need only a draw against Negri in their last game at the Police Depot on Nov 22 to top the group and book a place in the semi-finals.
