Reduced ban for disco kids

KUALA LUMPUR: The 10 junior hockey players tagged 'The Disco Kids', who were slapped with a one-year ban for indiscipline, were given a reprieve, as expected yesterday.

The juniors, who were suspended by the Malaysia Hockey Federation (MHF) Disciplinary Board on Nov 3 for breaching discipline during the FIH Under-21 tournament in Poland in August, had their ban reduced to only three months by the MHF executive council after a meeting yesterday.
