LONDON: Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that the club are on the verge of signing their first Chinese player, 18-year-old striker Dong Fangzhou.
Rumours United had been preparing a bid of more than £1 million for the Dalian Shide forward have been circulating since the player had a successful trial at Old Trafford earlier this season.
