MODENA (Italy): Italian police searched three companies and a flat near the Ferrari headquarters in connection with possible spying in Formula One motor racing, news reports said on Tuesday.
Prosecutors declined to comment on the investigation, but apart from the searches they are allegedly investigating three former Ferrari employees suspected of industrial espionage.
The events came a week after German police, acting on a request from Italy, reportedly raided several laboratories and the flat of an employee of the Japanese carmaker Toyota based near Cologne. dpa
