VALENCIA: World champion Valentino Rossi will be on pole for the final race of the MotoGP season, and possibly his last for Honda, after setting a track record in qualifying for the Valencia Grand Prix yesterday.
The Italian, sporting a new livery inspired by the Austin Powers films, left his best until last and roared around the Ricardo Tormo circuit in 1:32.478 seconds on his final lap to break Max Biaggi's 2002 pole record of 1:33.211, giving the crowd a little wave by way of celebration.
